jeering meds should get a PBC

Posted by mashogr8 on August 18, 2002, at 17:17:58

I really get irritated on those mornings when the stupid wellbutrin falls into my hands with the stupid smiley faces looking right up at me.

But the meds have now reached the ultimate low. Picture this in your own hand: The pretty blues were the eyes and a 20 and a 20 salmon celexa on either side were the ears, with this great big concerta forming the mouth with a 10mg celexa sticking its tongue downwars from the mouth of concerta. It just doesn't bode well for the day-- those pills deserve more than a PBC more like a two month block :( big time.

That sure brought back a whole lot of memories.
When I was hospitalized (psych ward) for the first time, I was given psych ward slippers and they were blue and they actually had a happy face on them. Only the psych ward slippers too. That mocking face staring up at me, was so cruel. I think it got about two pages in my journal

Another weird thing was that from the reception desk at the hospital admissions (the hospital had fake brick floors) but the path to the psych ward was marked in yellow bricks. . I'm pretty sure it wasn't intentional, just a way we wouldn't get lost.. But it was trippy. Follow the yellow brick road follow the yellow brick road we're off to see the wizard. Can't you hear those creepy munchkins?.

And to any doubters out there, its At Vancouver General hospital, and it hasn't changed.

Gee, I want a pair of those blue slippers with happy faces. What a hip new fashion accessory.

Only if I can have a pair without the actual hospitalization of course :)

They didn't give us anything. At least not that I can remember. We were supposed to have family or friends "on the outside" bring us real clothes. But I did get away with some hospital pants last year after some surgery. Stylish. :-(
