No, I've never even heard of Michael Franks, hmmm and I love blues. I'm going to check it out. I need some new music. I've been depressed so long that everything I own reminds me of being depressed. waah! True though.
This is an awful awful secret, and I probably shouldn't admit this to anyone... because my favorite artists are Koko Taylor and Nina Simone, Sara Vaugn, really. But if I'm very down, whisper
I have this kid Rock C.D that ahem, sometimes makes me feel better. SHHHH!

Try "Blue pacific",Tiger in the rain", "sleeping gypsy", or Dragonfly summer". Please let me know when you discover this treasure firsthand....Thanks for being open minded.Bobby

Yes I am going to find it. Because I'm interested, and also because I'm like you in the way that when I find something magical I want to share it with everyone, to the point where If I could buy it for everyone I would, because I know if they say "hey I'll check that out" they probably won't.
I don't think Kid Rock is Okay, I'm really ashamed of liking that album, I mean I'm not pretentious, I wouldn't hide it if people came over but usually my taste is a little less TOP 40
and I just don't get it....

I don't know why but since hearing Popsicle Toes 20 or so years ago, I've wanted to rip that guys head off. I know he's a good musician and I'm not saying that you don't have good taste, by any means.
Maybe time to give him another listen. I'll check out some of the songs you mentioned.

Thanx Gabbi--for taking up for two people that you don't even know--michael franks and myself. I think that Phil"s comment was o.k. because m.f.'s voice is so very unique that for some people --well--they just can't aquire the taste. However, i hope ,with all my being, that you'll love it! also, I appreciate your view on "wanting to share something with everyone". I feel exactly the same way. Bobby
