Wendy - i'm glad you're doing pretty well but I'm also glad you've been able to come back and post some. Your observations are always incisive, well stated and caring and have been missed. It also sounds like you've been away for all the right reasons so that's good too. Just make sure you check in periodically as you feel you can.

PS My daughter missed 5 straight days of school recently with strep. It's almost impossible to work and deal with a sick kid at the same time. I can sympathize.

Mair,
Thank you so much for your message, sweetie. I always read you too, and like your writing, and your take on things...Yeah, life takes its toll... I certainly enjoy caring for my kid, making soup, bringing drinks like ginger ale, reading to her, watching abcfamily (yuk!) and TVLand. But I hate that she's coughing so hard, her chest burns. Now one day later, I have exactly the same thing, and I ask myself: "Where's the maid?" I just feel like sleeping, and it plays a little on my depression. Thanks for the understanding words, I appreciate that you care enough to write..
A big hug,
Wendyps: Lily's been out 2 days this week, one day last week, 3 days right after school started up again in January, etc. Think she'll be out tomorrow, too... (Need groceries! arggghhhh!)
