I was reading on PB that you had cutback on your Topamax because of cognitive dulling. Lately I've been having trouble with tranferring what's in my mind into verbal or written form. My thoughts are really clear, but really get lost in the translation process. I end up with a lot short sentences, forget a lot of what I want to say, etc. Being in my line of work this is definitely not a good thing...
Does any of this sound familiar to you? Do you mind telling me what was going on with you? This is really pissing me off and I can't help but believe it's the Top that's the culprit...
I'd appreciate your feedback.
Thanks,
Greg

Ooo, another message for Me (there was one on PB, too). :) I feel very needed tonight.
That really sounds like Topamax to me. I would start to say something to my husband and it was gone, poof, out the door. It actually helped my thought processes as far as rationalizing things and slowing down racing, obsessive thoughts.
I thought over the last few months that Prozac was the culprit but now I realize it was the Topamax. Maybe adding Depakote made it worse. I can focus again. I can do the bills in less than three days again (I couldn't add or spell anymore).
Also, Top. was really sedating to me for some reason. I'm down to about 75 mg now. Quite roller coaster-y, but then the Depakote was just upped. When we dropped the Top. down initially without a substitute, I got hypomanic again.
What else? I'm feeling a little hypomanic now. ;)

Keppra is leaving the system, eh? Toot, toot -- good bye Keppra! You should have a Keppra cleansing party. It is nice to be free of a med - your body is going "ah!"
But, up, up you go... be sure to take your Ambien and maybe if your sleep is normal, it will even out? What are we going to do with you, little mouse?

Do you look back at something that you've written a day or two later and wonder if you had an out of body experience or something? I've got a call into my psych to discuss cutting back on the Top to see if it helps. I just don't understand how the thoughts can be so clear, but the talking and writing be so F***ED up...
sigh...
