Sub-T and Sister-in-Law

Posted by akc on September 14, 2001, at 21:35:27

I called my back-up t and my sister-in-law called me back. Between the two I have made it to bed time. My sister-in-law (Lori) calling really helped. I don't go into much specifics with her -- like tonight, I just told her I was really having a hard time with everything. But she talks about the kids and the store and my brother -- she talks as both family and friend. She asks sisterly advice and listens to what I offer. She listens to me go on and on about whatever the latest might be with my work or house or AA or alanon. But tonight, we talked about mom and my brother and a little about terrorist and a lot about her week (a great example of murphy's law). It helped me with the evening. The pain is so much still here. But it made me feel less alone for now.

Thank you for posting, akc. Funny how you can simply say 'I was really having a hard time with everything'. How true that is. Time for me to go to bed. You take care now, hear?
