husband back in town :)

Posted by llrrrpp on June 7, 2006, at 23:37:38

My husband came back to town after being gone 4 weeks. Ahhhh. and this time he came back, and the wife was not quite as depressed and psycho as last time.

And I feel like I'm falling in love again. For the first time. Ahhhh. I have no way to describe, but it's definitely LOVE!! with fire, and passion!! etc etc.

p.s. I told him about psycho-babble. His responses. I had to tell him about 5 times over the course of the evening. He's not a great listener sometimes

1. silence (did he even hear me?
2. no, I don't mind if you have online friends
3. oh, yeah, whatever
4. oh, is that the psychopath thing?
5. you don't need psychopath, you have me. you can tell me. I talk to you. [explanation that p-babble folks have helped me so much, because I feel lonely and different from my normal friends] . You're not sick. you're normal. are your friends all crazy? why do you want to hang out with crazy people [explanation that I, too, have had crazy moments, like when I wanted to harm myself] um, okay. well, you don't want to harm yourself. that's not good. I don't want you to say that... [once again proving the necessity of having someone ELSE to talk to besides husband]

2 dates in a row. tonight we ate at a nice Russian restaurant. It was delicious. meat n potatoes n gravy n beets with strudel and hot tea for dessert (I DID avoid the "little water" that was offered in sets of 3 1 oz shots -- pdoc will be proud! of me) and davinci code. not a great film. lots of SI triggers, but at least someone held my hand

gotta run. it's late.

How wonderful that he's back!! And my husband had EXACTLY the same response to Babble. I've been posting for a long while now, and it's no longer an issue. He understands that you guys are my friends and we help each other here; and also that I can talk about things here that I'm not able to IRL.

He just said- "you chatting with your psycho friends?"

Um, no honey. My normal friends are chatting with me, THEIR psycho friend

lol

:)

(sigh) he leaves in 40 hours, won't see him again until July.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, mon cheri. oui? I'll stop the francais before I make myself look like a dork in front of our Canadian friends.

Congratulations on falling in love again. I am happy for you both. True love doesn't have a happy ending because true love doesn't have an ending.

Yo, Mr. Curt
absence makes the heart grow fonder. and lonelier. I'll be leaning hard on babble in a couple of days. things are going to get hard for me. no T appt. scheduled for next week. Vacation with my parents and my psycho older brother, and (((my nice younger brother))), and plenty of family stress, as I return to "the scene of the crime" In a few weeks. so to say...

I'm no french scholar, but I think the way it works is that I get to call you

mon cheri (If I may be so bold)

and others may call me

ma cherie

Sorry I corrected you. I like what you wrote. It makes me want to eat cherries. Cherry chocolate chip ice cream. Ranier Cherries. mmm

you know what "my darling" is in German? It sounds aWfUL!!

Mein Schaetzchen

Gesundheit!

Naja, ich muss mich jetzt verabschieden
"Well, I have to take my leave now"

You don't have to say, "Schaetzchen," you could say "Liebling" --

just a thought?

Glad your husband is back, sorry he's going away again-- how do you handle that much separation? That's so hard.

My personal favorite is

"Muffel"

as in Morgenmuffel.

He's a Morgenmuffel for sure.

Jost, are you Swiss/Austrian/German?

Just wondering.

p.s. I can hardly stand the long-distance thing. it's really tough. REALLY tough. especially since I've gotten the depression. Depressed people need hugs, not solitude.

Hi, llrrrpp.

The name is Swiss, but I'm not. It's a name I picked when I signed up for babble, a while ago. It's the name of a Swiss mathematician and horologist from the 16th century who discovered logarithms and other things, before they were thought to have been discovered--kind of a neglected but very inventive thinker and precise observer of phenomena.

I like languages, though.

Jost
