My first husband, he was darkly handsome, and when he laughed and clapped his hands together in that grand gesture that I think only doctors have, I thought the world had lit up, it was so strange. He had a magnetism that you rarely see. And other times he was different, his colour changed, his skin actually looked different. And he'd be looking blankly, staring at something, with the corners of his mouth down, oh God I remember he looked at me with such love, at times, and he had the sweetest, prettiest smile you ever saw on a guy. Other times he was ugly as sin. I mean, really, and pictures show it. I'm the same way. Some people are beautiful all the time, others it really shows from inside. Sigh. They say clear skin is a signal of beauty, to the human eye. I have never nor will I ever be that, either or.
So .. but he was a psychopath.. that's what a psych said after two or three meetings with him. And I remember after our joint session, the ex- quit going, because he said the doctor wasn't on his side, he didn't feel supported or something. And I completely gave way, sure, that's fine. Whatever he wanted, it was always whatever he wanted. I don't even remember why we thought we wanted to save the relationship. Dumb. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

So what made you think of that? And what happened with everything?

Hi S,
Thanks for asking. Actually what prompted that was my thoughts about how easily I used to be fooled. How I hope I'm not the same person.
What happened was he moved to two different countries to escape paying child support. And that was the least of his efforts, actually.
This is the end of the thread.
