I have never EVER heard gg say anything like that before. It must be serious. :)

I wish I meant he took the nerd test.
I sent him an email along with other folks about something rather important to me. And it was in a professional role that I sent it. He responded with some nutso reply to everyone. He says he did it intentionally, because he thought he was being funny. He still thinks he's funny. Actually, he always thinks he's funny and clever, when usually he is annoying, wrong, and sometimes barely coherent because he's drunk.
I was so embarrassed. I don't know if I should email everyone and apologize or just let it drop.
But I never should have sent it to him in the first place. I was careless and tired that night.
sigh

Sorry to hear about your brother, gg. Dork is, in part, derived from the word for a whale's, um, johnson. So, bearing this in mind, dork has come to be used in modern lexicon to represent men in general who, when they come out, are shocking and who are basically good for only one thing.

Sorry you were embarrassed by him, gg :(. I'm sure, though, that everyone else took your email in the spirit it was intended. And while his email embarrassed you so much, maybe it didn't have such an effect on everyone else and blew right past them?
It sucks that he's a dork and even put you in the position of having to deal with this. And I'm terribly sorry that he made you feel bad.

Hmmm, very interesting. Thanks for the info. I've been using dork as a general derogatory since junior high.
And by the way, when I jokingly asked if you were my brother, I in no way meant that as a slam. No one could compare with him, and I regret if my linking you to him in jest based on one characteristic was offensive.
So let's see. Maybe I should change the subject of the thread to something else. "My brother is someone I *could* have compassion for if he were my client, but since he's my bro, he drives me nuts?" Hmmm, too long. "Brothers, damn them all?" Naw, that's too general. "My brother the comedian, note sarcasm"? Promising...
I'm open to suggestions.
