Ron (Ron1953) and I met right here in Babble one evening in Open about a month ago. The ‘connection’ was almost immediate. After a few IM chats, we started talking on the phone. We talk every day and explore each other’s minds continually – laughing, crying, comforting . . . healing childhood wounds. We have fallen in love over the airwaves, and are planning to take our relationship to the next level soon, when Ron will travel from PA to visit me in OR.
We are both committed to working at our relationship and we are both discovering the amazing healing power that results from our efforts. We are anticipating that the bond between us will become even stronger after we have actually met, physically, but we both agree that the healing will remain even if we discover that the relationship is not to be.
Thank you, Harville Hendrix; your theories are proving out. And thank you, Ron, for embracing these theories and for taking the necessary risks with me.

might i say it is about time you two folks finally say something to everyone about this.. I WAS HAVING HARD TIME NOT SAYING ANYTHING TO ANY BODY... ESP... when people were e-mailing me asking to find out what is wrong with jlynne.. why won't she talk to me.. etc......hey congrates are stillin order when is the thanksgiving day retreat occuring?? hopefully the 5th of nov.. that means this weekend folks!!!!!!! :)

Thank you everyone for your support; it is nice to be able to share with our babble friends.
In the beginning, when Ron and I were still just testing the waters, we kept wondering if maybe we were nuts, and we were certain that everyone else would think so, too. The more we share with our *real life* friends, the more we hear (ever notice that "hear" has an "ear" in it . . .) about other happy couples who have met on the internet. Without exception, all of our friends have expressed joy and support for us, and it is just blowing us away.
It is kind of funny, though . . . our children are the ones who are concerned and holding their breath. The way I figure it . . . they got it coming, though, don't you think!? (those teen years, you know) LOL
Again, thank you all for the kind words of support for us; we will keep everyone posted (maybe not "play-by-play" however, if you don't mind:~)

The funny thing about babble land is we are all so spread out.

Thank you, jai . . . actually, ron and i live on opposite sides of the country, which has added an interesting twist to what is happening to us. It has been very romantic, and I have learned to appreciate the lost art of letter writing, even though they are "e" letters. Our phone conversations have on occasion lasted into the wee hours of the morning. Ron will be flying out to meet me next week, and we are both very anxious and counting down the days. This has been an incredible journey, so far . . . maybe we will write a book about it someday.
