Today is my fourth wedding anniversary

Posted by Miss Honeychurch on October 27, 2004, at 9:45:33

And my husband and I are broke 'til Friday. I want to do something special for him tonight but alas have absolutely NO money. Aside from sex (which is not possible today), what would be a good gift which costs nothing?

Any thoughts??

I would also appreciate men's opinions on this! (nm)

MH:

Simply sit down with him (at a nice supper, if you can prepare one, but optional) look into his eyes and tell him how much you value and appreciate him and your marriage. Validation is a wonderful gift.

Ron

P.S. Congrats!

Candles, music, nice romantic dinner, bottle of wine (if appropriate). A hand written note of how much you love and appreciate him as a husband. And something lacy never hurts!!

Little things I do all the time

I put little notes in my husbands socks, underwear, between his sandwiches, in his deodrant cap, slipped into his diary and lots more.

I just say little things like I love you, you smell nice, you're sexy and smoochy stuff like that. He is not sentimental but has kept every little note since we met. I have also often given him "reward" cards where he gets to pick an activity of his choice (naughty or otherwise) to do with me at a time of his choice. I even once gave him a cheque (that's how we spell it) for a million kisses or something equally school girlish!

It's a good thing he doesn't have email at work!!

I used to do that with my hubby. He worked in construction and when he bit into his sandwich he got a greasy smeared note that he couldn't even read. I was so embarassed.
I think doing the notes in the socks sounds like a great idea. I am going to write one now to my honey.
thanks for the idea.
