In reply to Anyone know why our Psychology posts end up here?, posted by violette on August 6, 2010, at 1:24:32
It clearly has to do with Bob wanting to generate more traffic on the site. If you click on the link in the upper right hand corner that says "Contact", a box pops up. The box says
* Get Consultation on Gaining Traffic to your Website
* Feature Content on Main Page
* Buy Advertisement Links
* Add Link through the Uploads and CommentsThis must be some kind of aggregation/advertising company that tries to help generate traffic to other sites.
While Dr. Bob may do this because he cares, I strongly believe he does it for other purposes. He is a researcher and his area of expertise is psychiatry and the internet. He needs this forum for his research.
Just so I don't get a lot of responses telling me I am critical or I am wrong - yes, he does it because he cares but let's be practical, he wants an active forum for his research.

Dr. Bob said that he didn't know why that info is on the site and I believe Dr. Bob.
Have you ever heard of something called autoblogs?
There are blogs that automatically add content from other sites (aka steal content). They make it so that the owner can just sit back, do nothing and collect money from adsense (when people click on the advertisements on their page). Some of these people build hundreds of autoblogs for the income (since getting traffic is quite hard and the more sites you have, the more collective traffic you get).
Any original source of information on the web can be a victim of these autoblogs. Maybe Dr. Bob is just getting content stolen from his site.
The other reason I can see is that someone found Babble and is really interested in it for some reason and chose to post Babble posts on their site.
