Okay, you all know that I am going through termination, right? Well it seems like since my appointments are spaced a month apart, it seems like my T is being way more personal at the gym then he used to be.
I am not complaining, but it is very noticable. Today I was talking to this old man (76)that I like in the lounge, and my T walked by to leave to go to work, and he waved at me first. He has winked at me too recently and it seems like he is going out of his way to talk to me or to make me notice him. I was studying this weekend, and he walked up to me and talked a little. NOw he has never ignored me, but he would only acknowledge me, if I waved, talked or smiled first. But a week ago, I did go up to him for the first time during the workout and talked to him right in the open.
I admit I love the extra attention, but I wish I knew what he was thinking. I know I should ask, but then I might not get the real answer because of the ethical rules DURING therapy. (i know it is unethical to promise a relationship after therapy). So I am not going to ask. It is weird because he is the one who said we won't have a personal relationship but yet his actions are not matching his actions lately. He knows how I feel,I would love to be more than his client, I want to keep contact with him, but I wish I could know what is going on in his mind right now.
Is he just being nice and trying to help me with the longer gap of therapy? But why is he winking at me when in the last session I was talking about a prof. doing that (who has a bit of a crush on me). I am not attracted to this prof at all but my T asked me if I was sexually attracted to someone who did this to me, would I think differently or respond differently. But when he said this he totally got flustered. I never answered either because his reaction threw me.
He winked at me one other time, a long time ago. I know a wink can just be friendly, but it is special isn't it? He doesn't even have to acknowledge me if he didn't want to. I just don't want my hopes to be crushed so I am trying not to get too excited, but each day I see him things are different . Besides the telling me the ethical implications, do you have any thoughts you can share?

i don't think there was anything wrong in what you said. I would feel the same if it were me. I don't know if he meant anything by it or not. I don't blame you for feeling mixed up about it.

Hi Happyflower, I think your T really likes you, 100% - no other interpretation there! ( and for what it's worth, I don't think he's unethical at all - just human.)

I don't think I will be posting anything else about my T concerning this. End of story, and they lived happily ever after.
