Hi all,
Hope everyone is expecting a good holiday.
I feel very good tonight. I'm finally making some necessary changes in my life. NO MORE DBT.
I called my old therapist( the one I had before DBT) and asked for some referrals. DBT skills are ok, but I am 55 and would rather have ocassional support rather than learning new tricks. I've been at DBT for 2 yrs and now know that it is not what I need.
I am going to stop in here from time to time because I learn more here than anywhere else, and I like you all.

Sounds like you gave DBT a good try. I'm sorry that it didn't help you the way you needed it to. But it sounds like you are on a positive path. Glad to see your name! You are always welcome here.

Sounds like you doing ok. Things are a little tough round here. Pick and choose what you read carefully.

Hi Terrics,
You gave DBT a lot of time and effort and your decision to quit was obviously based on knowing yourself and what you need.
I get much out of reading/posting here, too. I'm glad to see your're back.
