Hi, I saw a psychologist for the first time yesterday. He actaully knows my pdoc so he said he wouldnt try to take me off meds (says that is between her and I) which is good, bc i am not ready. He said I prob have a mild form of BP. And he wants to teach me how to tell when I am going into a cycle and prevent it. How i dont know! I guess I will give him a chance and see how it goes..(he looks like a soap opera star) lol. Go figure, I'd get a hot doc!! Anyway, I will see what happens.

The first step is sometimes one of the hardest. He sounds like he is a behaviorist-type. Good Luck with your journey. It sometimes takes you places you had no idea existed!

Good for you!!!
Give your T a little time. You just met this guy; you are basically still stangers. Your relationship after, say, 3-5 sessions will most likely begin to feel more defined and comfortable. It is similar to how building a new friendship takes a little time. It sounds like you felt understood and that he listened to you - a good sign.
