I have a girlfriend that loves and cares for me but family that have mood swings towards my behaviour on a monthly Basis. When a member of my family says something that hurts me i seem to take out my aggresion on the one person who loves me (my girlfriend) and that depresses me more. I take anti anxiety drugs to combat these feelings but am finding Valium is making me more aggresive. Please i wouod be very grateful is someone goes through the same things i do. I hate myself for jumping on the one person who stands by me.

have you considered talking with a psychologist.
one of my inlaws does what you do and it seems to stem from her difficulty in confronting her family. it's been an ongoing thing since childhood. her parents never allowed her to express anger. so she doesn't - to them but she takes it out on her husband instead. she needs to learn to confront her parents.
hope it helps.
