Possible to simply snap out of depression

Posted by fuzzymind on February 10, 2003, at 8:45:22

Is there such thing as depression remission? Where one simply snaps out of clinical depression or dythysmia? I imagine that mild, short-term depression can just go away, but how about longer term more severe depression?

Sure, it is within the realm of possibilities.... ยป fuzzymind

...but I wouldn't bet my money on it. Perhaps I'm cynical but I've seen or read too few cases of major clinical depression just lifting of its own accord.

But yes, it could happen.
