The Sedona Method

Has anyone tried this? I'm trying it at the moment. It's all about embracing and releasing emotions. Doesn't seem to work so far

Will that be check or charge??? They are selling what can't be bought.
They are selling spirituality and 'letting go.'

Neither of which you can get from a tape but only from a deeply centered faith and being around like minded people. I wouldn't waste my time.
You could go to a Unity Church, not Unitarian, and hear where they stole every piece of their material. Prosper is a huge word with these people. I'm broke, they build bigger church's.

Save your money. Notice it says: Which ONE of the following....

Which ONE of the following would you most like to achieve?

Freedom from fear and anxiety.
A greatly reduced stress level.
Eliminating problems due to anger.
Freedom from depression.
Lasting and satisfying relationships.
Greater financial freedom and abundance.
Boundless energy and sleep better too.
Freedom from emotional trauma.
Greater Inner peace, joy and happiness.
Greater spiritual awareness.
More radiant health.
Eliminating nasty habits.
Have a more effective 12 step/recovery program.

If it's too good to be true, it probably is. Sedona offers everything you desire short of immortality.

Yes, I guess I am always more than a little wary of such slick, packaged, cure-all type approaches. I am suspicious also of programs that ask, "Are you ready to be happy?" I may be wrong, and certainly some of the references mentioned on the site might indicate otherwise, but that kind of sales hook sounds to me, personally, too much like the hooks used by EST, Mindspring, The Forum, and other sales-based self-improvment groups, where strong peer pressure is used and part of the way to maintain ones "happiness" is fullfiling the requirement to be part of a pyramid-like sales enterprise.

But this is just me and my very suspicious way of looking at things. Like I said, I don't think the other groups I mentioned would get the endorsement of someone representing Columbia University Medical School. Still, if someone really did want to check it out, I would read the fine print very carefully, check out the references, etc. But mostly, I don't think it is worth the time, money or effort.

Not that it couldn't have some positive things to offer. But in the scheme of things, is it realistic that it will be worth the expense? I feel it is doubtful. JMHO.

I just reread the question, and it actually reads, "Are you ready to be happy all the time?" Frankly, I think it is not normal for humans to be happy all the time!

True. Happy all the time? If you were you wouldn't know what happiness was. No opposite to compare it with. Zen void and all that. Bliss perhaps, but then you don't tend to get a lot done when blissed out
