hey everyone, my name's chris. i started taking effexor xr about a month ago and i'm not really sure if it's working. i'm on 150mg/day and now i just kind of feel more restless then i did before and i never really seem to be happy or sad. no highs or lows, never really angry or joy-filled, just somewhere in between i guess. i've also had some serious sleeping problems since i started taking it and i'm now also on apo-lorazepam to help with that. i guess i was just wondering if anyone also feels this way.

I am new to this but I can tell you I am going off Effexor (150mg 1yr). The side effects you describe do go away over time, at least they did for me. I had night sweats, bad dreams and the reason I'm going off lack of sexual desire. This is not good when your in a relationship. If I didn't have that, I would have stayed on the Effexor. I felt very good and satisfied w/it after about 6 weeks to 2 months. I hpoe this helps.
