Hi, I'm starbaby, a newbie :)
I've already posted replies to a few questions on the parenting board and the psychobabble board, so I guess I'm the kind of person who likes to jump in with both feet.
I'm diagnosed as BiPolar II, ADHD, PTSD, and OCD. I also have Fibromyalgia and OsteoArthritis. I'm a 48 y/o divorced Mom living in Florida with one teenage daughter, who is also BP II.
Up until a few weeks ago, we were life-long homeschoolers, but my daughter decided to give high school a try this year and see if she likes it.
Hmmm.. not sure what else to post about me except that I love reading, music and the water. I'm glad I found this board - I was Google'ing something completely different - and came upon it by accident. Looks like there are a lot of very interesting discussions going on. I hope to be part of them more soon.

Hi, I live in Florida, too. I hope you were spared Katrina's wrath (we were). I'm also bipolar2, and hang out on the Social board, here (to say hello to new babblers), Books, Substance, Administration - if I'm looking for trouble!; I am pretty much all over.

Thanks for the warm welcome - nice to "meet" you. I'll have to check out the other boards as time permits.
Yes, I'm pretty sure we're going to be spared Katrina, as I'm on the central Gulf Coast, and it seems like it's heading for the Panhandle. I just feel sorry for the people up there that are going to get hit by another storm so early in the season.

(I probably know you, though I isolate myself pretty badly. I might have run past you during a panic attack at a Publix or something :-) )
