I'm looking for support/help re adult ADD. I was diagnosed just over a year ago, despite a life time (I'm 50 yr. old) of symptoms that could have earned me the "adult ADD poster child" award. All of the things that provided sufficient structure through my adult years (marriage, job, social circle) fell apart over the past 3 years. I am barely coping. (I've been through over half of my retirement funds and I'm behind on my mortgage. I'll be using the rest of the IRA to keep my condo.) I'm taking prozac and adderall, which helps, of course. What I really need is structure. I'm hoping to get advice regarding how to establish routines and prioritize and, ideally, a "partner" to help me monitor my activities/stay on-task.

Hello there, welcome to babble :-)
I am not sure who else on the boards has experience with ADD. You could try asking on the meds board, on the social board, and also perhaps on the health board with respect to developing a healthy routine. You might need to post the question to different boards as different posters tend to frequent different boards...
Anyways, welcome to babble. glad you found us :-)

After some thought social might be the best place to look for people... So I reposted your post over there. Here is a link to it:

At the end of the post there should be links to the rest of the thread as well. There are a couple of other replies there too.
Sorry part of the thread turned into a discussion about redirecting posts :-(
Hope you are still around.

Logan,If you are still out there, I am trying to find some info on the combo ritalin / effexor xr. I have just started taking it and my world is changing. I am getting things done and can sit and read a book or surf the web and best study for the real estate exam.....I have been where you are and the effexor helped but the combo is going to be my road to success.
