Is there ANY antipsychotic that is weight neutral? Risperdal is supposed to be at very low doses (fewer than .25) but it isn't. Not only do I want to eat everything in sight, when I resist those urges (and it takes heroic effort), I STILL gain weight.
Can anyone help?

Seroquel *supposedly* has a low weight gain profile. However, there are newer drugs (Geodon, Abilify) that are, in my experience, far better when it comes to weifght gain. I worked as a dietitian in a psych hospital and patients on Geodon and Abilify were the ones who did best in terms of weight management/preventing weight gain... then Seroquel... then Risperdal... then... well, don't go there. :)
Hope this helps! --K
