I'm new to this site. Started on Trazadone last night and effexor this morning. This sucks.
I don't like the way I feel. Is this normal?

Oh, dear. How exactly are you feeling? Sleepy, confused, twitchy, hungry?
(that's how I felt on those meds. I couldn't take the Trazodone in the end. it made me feel stupid like i might forget my name.)

I can't take them. Had I wanted to be high I would do the drugs I want to do. I'm still on the effexor.
I'm starving!

It takes several weeks for the full benefits of effexor to be felt. I started feeling less depressed very quickly, but it was several months before I got up to the dosage of 150mg per day fromt he 37.5 I had started at.
The side effects were annoying but seemed like a small price to pay to be able to function every day. Effexor stopped working for me this past September when I had a crash of depression and anxiety, and now I'm on Cymbalta.
good luck - welcome to babble. Please feel free to jump in on any thread.
This is the end of the thread.
