Hey all!! Maybe someone could help me with something. I have been on effexor xr for about 5 months now. I ran out 2 days ago and ment to go refill my perscription but I forgot. For sure I am going to fill it tomarrow but i just can't sleep tonight because I am having a rough time here. Is it normal to be having withdrawl symtoms so soon? I am feeling spacey and wonky. kind of not with it. can't sleep and when I do have the strangest dreams. my nightime appetite is so weird too. cant stop snacking. Is this all supost to be happening? am I going through withdrawls or is something else going on???? Help!!!

Yes, this med has a very short half life so a single missed dose is noticeable. Try taking an antihistamine like Benadryl to help with the symptoms until your prescription is filled.
