Hello all,
I just started on Celexa after being diagnosed with Panic Disorder with a touch of Agoraphobia on the side ;)
I was wrongly diagnosed with social anxiety four years ago, and was on Paxil for three years. I had a very, very tough time coming off of it. At the time, I just wanted a diagnosis and meds, but when I started to think about it later on, it just didn't seem to make sense.
So, now I am starting Celexa and group cognitive behavioural therapy in January.
Anything I should know about Celexa that the doctor might not tell me?
Thanks

Hi Fumbler
I don't know anything about Celexa personally. I am tapering from Effexor XR and will be starting Lamictal in a day or two.
Feel free to visit the Psycho Babble board which is for medication related issues. There is so much going on there about Celexa and what folk experience, remembering though that everyone has different reactions and experiences. Some good, some not so good.
In your case, I hope that this drug combined with the therapy you are going to start will help you. Further to that, please feel free to call on all babble community for any support and friendship you might need.
Take care
Sabrina
