OH NO! Another Newbie!

Posted by victoryoclock on July 19, 2004, at 17:48:52

I just happen to stumble on this site....am really enjoying it. From depression - which I didn't know I had - a doctor started me on Wellbutrin XL 300 mg., and I'm interested on how it has helped people. I'm taking care of an elderly parent with Alzheimers for the last two years...and it's been a toll. I also am experiencing sores on my arms...told it was from nerves....weird huh!

Hi and welcome! I'm on Wellbutrin too (I think I posted to you on the medication board, but I have a really hard time keeping track of what I have done!!!). Can you tell me about the sores on your arms? Are they like hives or bumps like pimples? Do they itch?

Well we meet again:)...The sores start out pimple-like and start to itch. They open up and just refuse to heal. They get rough skin cover over them and leave scars...of course new ones will start popping up. HELP!

I've been getting those on my upper arms. I thought it was due to all the perspiring I've been doing, but it's probably medication related. Try to moisturize your arms with something that has those fruity acids or alpha hydroxy in it to assist in skin sloughing and renewal. It helps a lot. And of course, try not to pick. Maybe an antihistamine would help with that?

welcome to blasted babble :)

hello victory o'clock! you kind of made my day with that subject line. thank you for making my day (can you tell it doesn't take much?).

i somehow mistook my thumb for a cucumber yesterday and bled electricity. (proving i am in fact my greatest fear, a robot!!!!)

i'm kk, btw. not to be confused with kk on psycho-babble (who i've yet to interact with, though i'm trying very hard! maybe you can help?)

and how'd you get the name? can i be kk o'clock? hmmm.....

anyway, welcome again. if you were a robot, like me, you wouldn't have to worry about meds or sores. sorry, perhaps you can marry matthew broderick and become a stepford wife? (or not of course, the choice is yours..) and feel free to venture around. with a name life that, you'll be welcome anywhere. (even if you're only human, though you're a minority around here...)

take care mr (miss? well, which is it?) o'clock.... see you around. but, don't count on any dinner offers, as robots don't offer to buy dinner. you must offer to buy robots dinner, you know!
