Hi! It's very nice of you to welcome all the newbies here (including me). I went onto babble social and chatted a bit with Magdelena, but I kinda felt like an outsider so I stopped posting. You guys all seem so close and seem to know so much about each other.
Would be really cool to get to know you.
Have a nice day!

it's my honor to welcome the new posters here, including you. i'm glad you stopped by social, but am sorry you felt like an 'outsider.' perhaps you should give it another shot sometime soon? i bet everyone is dying to meet you.

or, you could start here and get to know the people here too. that way, you have a network of friends that joined at the same time. and, of course, you can always chat with me as well :)

you have a really wonderful day kitty! i look forward to getting to know you. why not post to me on social, i'll look for it and return the post, i promise!!!

oh, and welcome to babble! it's a really great board. hope you enjoy it as much as i do!

Thanks, I'll give it another shot soon.
It will be really nice to have people to talk to who are going through similar things to me. My friends and family are very supportive but they don't quite understand.
I am on 20mg cyprimal (I think it's the same as celexa)and have been for about 2 months now. I'm feeling better but it's a slow and sometimes frustrating process. But there's definately a light at the end of that tunnel....

Speak soon xxx

it is very nice to speak with people who understand what you are going through, and can answer your questions as well. it's quite different than 'putting on your brave face, you know? and the folks here are very supportive as well, but can be very challenging at the same time. they seem to be just the right mix. perfect i say, just perfect!

I am in South Africa. Very different time zone so I'm not on when you guys are. But I will mail as much as possible. I think the chemical name is citalopram.
Let me know if that doesn't make any sense. And anything that you know about the meds will be very useful. Thanks kittycat

You guys are fantastic at helping each other through rough times. I hope that I can help in the future as well. I think I will come to social babble later today ;)

hi kittycat.....you are taking what in the u.s. is called celexa, and this is a 50/50 mix of two forms of citalopram. there is a drug named escitalopram (lexapro in the u.s.) that is 100% of one of the two forms of citalopram in your med. i am not an expert with this class of substances; however, a number of posters on psychobabble are, and i suggest you hit that forum and look at the posts for celexa and lexapro....hope this helps, and all the best, chemist

Oh boy! 2 1/2 months. Have you got everything organised already? Dress, flowers etc. That's so exciting!!

Yes I do like it here very much. It's been a bit slow going getting responses from people, but it's picking up now which is really nice.

You have a great day too!!

hi and welcome kitty,
i am sorry you felt that we all know each other over on social..
sometimes if you just be honest and ask for support you will be surprised who will jump in to help..
sometimes the boards are slow and it may take a day or more for a response.
but please remember we are here for you!
