so I called a drug company....

because I wanted to know (despite the otherwise available information) if it was possible that my current health problem is related to lamictal.
They told me the fairly vague stuff I already know, that long term effects on the eyes are unknown, and that it binds to melanin. They also said that beyond what is generally available (i.e. by studies undertaken) they could only provide information (i.e. case studies, reports) to licensed healthcare providers (doctors, pharmacists, etc.)
I found that somewhat annoying.
