Anyone know the psychotropic effects of sesamin?

Posted by Jimmyboy on April 16, 2008, at 20:23:02

Does anyone know what the effects of sesamin on brain chemistry are?

I started taking it for inflammation ( It is a D-5-D antagonist which lowers the amount of EFA's that turn into pro-inflammatory PGE2) - anyway, it has most definitely lowered my anxiety alot and I have been completely free of panic attacks since starting this supplement. ( When benzo's barely dented the problem)

I have read others on the internet that have had similar experiences, but I do not have the faintest idea how it would have this effect.

Does anyone out there know .. or venture to make an educated guess?

JB

but i don't know, all i ever heard of was a use of high dose extracted sesamin as a means of burning fat?

seems anti-inflammatory mechanisms are helpful for the ability to think?

EPA?

but for some reason DHA is sometimes even looked at as detrimental? (inflammatory?)

...okay never mind i'm lost. i can't think.
