If you had breast calcifications in the nipple area and they placed a marker chip . What does it mean is it dangerous that during the move I missed a six month repeat mammogram. And my Daughter 41 had her first mammogram found calcification and they called her immediately for follow up tests. Should I be very concerned? Thanks, Love Phillipa

Well, it can mean something or it can mean nothing. Schedule the mammogram now for you and don't worry about it.
Tell your daughter to do the follow up testing. She will probably be fine.
At the hospital I go to they always put a marker on the nipple (something new they didn't use to do that years ago).

This marker is inside the site of the calcification in my case areola and stays there inside forever. The radiologist can then pinpoint the exact spot where it was and if it's changing. I scheduled mine today. Love Phillipa
