Daddy really died close to midnight today a year ago, but it was legally listed as tomorrow. The day after tomorrow is a year after my mother in law died.
And today my grandmother in law died.
This is always going to be a sad time of year.

I'll say. I'm so sorry, Dinah. Take it as easy as you can, and let us know how we can help.
You and your family are in my prayers.

I'm so very sorry for all of the losses you've had to deal with this year, Dinah. It just doesn't seem fair at all. Please take good care and talk to us, if you need to.

I'll be thinking about you and your family and sending all the strength I can muster.
Laurie
P.S. How is your husband?

Dinah,
As you think about your dad, I hope you take the time to write down some of your fondest memories and some of the best things about him. You have such a lovely style of writing, I'm sure your son will love these notes as he gets older.
I wish I could hold your hand and just sit quietly. Remember, it is OK to cry.

Wow, Dinah. I don't know what to say.
You've had to deal with so much this year.
I'm not a huggy person, but I'm sending one your way.

I just keep feeling worse and worse. Even sitting upright at the computer feels like more than I can accomplish.
I just want to go to sleep and not wake up.
Not die exactly, but not have to deal with this nasty reality.
This is the end of the thread.
