To all who have lost mothers

Posted by gardenergirl on May 6, 2005, at 15:25:23

I imagine Mother's Day is a very difficult holiday, and there seems to be no escaping the cues about it. Advertisements, displays in stores, TV and radio.

To all those who are grieving mothers past or mothers present who feel missing or gone...

sending warm thoughts and wishes to you.

(((((((those who need it)))))))

This is why I love you. You have such a kind soul.

The odd thing is that I came to the grief board to post something about my mom. And here you are waiting for me with open arms and a shoulder to cry on. I still miss her SO much.

Thank you GG!

Kisses, emmy

You can still post about your mom, you know. I would love to hear more about her and how she managed to raise such a special girl in a short time.

Thanks GG. This is the first anniversary of my mom's death. It's been difficult and I'm trying not to self-medicate with alcohol, at least until my little girl goes to bed. At least it's not like this day last year when I spent mothers day making funeral arrangements. It still seems so unreal at times. I miss her so much. I didn't think it would ever get easier, but it slowly does. Some days can be h*ll and I'm sure I will always have days like that. I just try to let those days be what they are and know that tomorrow will likely be better.

I hope everyone gets through this day as best they can. (((((((((((((EVERYONE))))))))))))))

Wishing I could hug all the motherless daughters today. Oh what a tearfest that would be...

Big hugs to you JLynn.

She was copper colored, and smelled of hyacinths. She made 1000's of silver dollar pancakes on Sunday and dyed the mashed potatoes green on St. Patrick's day. She was a great mom mostly. In her goodbye note, she asked to be buried in her bathrobe.

Her smile filled my heart. Her sad face broke my heart.

I miss her every day.
