Agreed.

And I grieve for the 1,000+ young US soldiers who are dead. I've lost count of the Iraqi soldiers and citizens. And how many more? Is there an end in Iraq? And while we are over there, let's take Iran?

I grieve for a war that began in disception, kills without regret, and seems to have no goal. I'm just so sad that the majority of the people in this country think that their "good" morals are more important than escalating war.

amen....
my partner and I were just asking ourselves what we could read for the next 4 years. The Nation magazine? The local newspaper. I have noticed that the energy that starts at the top of our country seems to trickle down and become small town conservatism.

I know there's a race to get out of the US.
I am staying put.

I recently saw a very inspiring movie:
"Motorcycle Diaries".
It's the life of the young Che.

I, too, grieve for our country. I am saddened immeasurably when I hear of another soldier killed. I pause and pray for her/his parents, wife/husband, children, friends, community.....I pray that the burden isn't so heavy that they can't go on. There were 35 people killed in Iraq today and I grieve for all the innocents that our bombs are killing. I am heartsick.
Jai, I agree with you about our media. What will we read? How will we go on? Pat

I read it really great!
We need to find our power and not lose sight of the activities that are going on.

don't get sad: get mad.
Let's fight this darkness.
My emotions are beginning to turn a corner.
It ain't over yet.
Why do the democrats rollover so quickly?
Dean would have fought....
I still think Kerry won....just as Gore did.
something happened on the way to their election.
question...question....question
Who owned the voting machines?
is there a paper trail?
has anyone ever hacked into a pc before?
why did the exit polls predict Kerry as the winner?
questions.....

I'm going to read "The Nation" and listen to "Democracy Now!"
I want to live with the truth....
I offer you that.
I killed my tv a while ago.
Uplifting movies, good friends and lots of real communication.
And the wonderful people on PB.
Let's keep in touch.
