No news of Aunt Bea~~~~~~~~

Posted by fayeroe on July 28, 2004, at 9:06:18

Some of you know that Aunt Bea disappeared on July 3rd. She used to live next door to my youngest daughter and we would see her shivering in the cold...no shelter..no water...we would water her and we fixed a box with a big towel in it for her to get into and out of the winter cold. I finally told the people that if they wanted to give her away, I wanted her. They dilly-dallied for months and finally decided to put her to sleep. My daughter called me and I went over and they gave her to me. She was a tiny little dog...probably half yorkie and half wire-haired terrier. One ear stood up all the time and the other one flopped down. She totally took over here. She rode in the bib of my overalls and could have stayed there forever, except for potty breaks.....She slept in the crook of my arm, on her back, with her little paws sticking straight up. She would grab Fayeroe's toys and the chase would be on. Fayeroe could not have pleased me more because she played so energetically with Aunt Bea, but was so tender and gentle with her. Aunt Bea probably weighed 8lbs. We've put up flyers, ran an ad, gone to the shelter, newsboys gave each customer a flyer, door to door, gone to the vets..I don't know of anything else to do. Yesterday was really hard because a man told me that he knew where she was and I rushed over there and it was a benji type dog. I just broke down then and haven't been able to get out of the funk. I truly think that a neighbor has her and knows I'm looking for her and has decided to keep her. I should be happy that I think she has a home BUT, I want her BACK. This is like my divorce.....I knew he was still out there and the grief was almost unbearable. I know she's out there because the shelter people haven't picked her up dead or alive. I've covered all the bases on that. I gotta go to work. xoxox pat

(((fayeroe))) It is such a heart break. If you can believe that Aunt Bea can feel your loving energy (and I believe that animals can), then you can rest assured that she knows how badly you miss her.

I'm so very sorry. There are no words that can express how I feel.

If you get further news, will you let us know?

Many thanks,
Shar
