My husband's 2 very dear friends have been sent to New Orleans by the railroad. They were to be the first freight train into the city since the disaster began. They do have some security with them, but if things get out of hand... or the tracks or a bridge gives way...
Let's please pray for their safety, for the relief and safety for those who are trapped or need help and for relief of the unrest and crime.
Thank you so much! XOXO

Thank you! My husband reached them by cell phone last night and this morning, but not this evening. I'm very worried.
Even sadder than their being there is that only one employee who usually works out of the depot where they're going was able to report to work after the hurricane. All of the others lost everything.
On a brighter note, the railroad has offered to let those men come up here to work when they're ready so they will have a job to support their families until things get back to normal.
