What the #$Bleep*! Do We Know?

Posted by Cass on September 11, 2004, at 21:20:03

Have you heard about the film, "What the #$Bleep*! Do We Know?" I've been wanting to see it for quite some time. I LOVED it!! I left the theatre with a sense of wonder and optimism. The movie is about quantum physics. It entwines science and spirituality, percieved reality and actual reality, and being masters of our own lives. It's mostly or only playing at art house theatres. When it comes out on DVD, I'm going to watch it a few more times. I highly recommend it!

Here's part of how their website describes it: http://www.whatthebleep.com/home/

“What the #$BLEEP*! Do We Know!?” is a unique cinematic creation - really three films in one, interwoven like a DNA helix, into an original tapestry.

It’s a documentary. It’s a story. It has mind-blowing special effects. These three elements combine to bring about a film experience that will rock your mind and lift your soul! It’s a new genre about a New Worldview for a new audience.

This outrageous film plunges you into a world where quantum uncertainty is demonstrated – where neurological processes, and perceptual shifts are engaged and lived by its protagonist - where everything is alive, and reality is changed by every thought.

It has been called by some theater goers “The Handbook to ‘The Matrix.’” Like “The Matrix” it shows you a greater reality behind the one we all accept as true, and you have the ability to create absolutely anything from your own thought while laughing all the way!

The difference between this film and that movie is that this isn’t science fiction. It’s even stranger. It’s real. And it’s the first film to say it. And it does so boldly and with a BLEEP of a lot of humor. And it’s being proven every day by minds like these.

“What the #$BLEEP*! Do We Know!?” gives voice to the modern day radical souls of science, bringing their genius to millions. These maverick heroes at the cutting edge of their fields are at the forefront of a Paradigm shift even greater than those of the geniuses who preceded them. And this shift involves the greatest uncharted territory yet –

Human Consciousness itself.

“What the #$BLEEP*! Do We Know?” says that science and spirituality are not different modes of thought, but are in fact describing the same thing. And it brings the power back to the individual man and woman as it demonstrates creation as the god-like capacity of every individual.

Hollywood doesn’t write films like this because they think you are too stupid to understand challenging concepts and too lazy to do anything more than sit and eat popcorn. They don’t even hear your rumble and the rumble of countless others on your way to fill the theaters.

“What the #$BLEEP*! Do We Know!?” represents a new trend in film that Hollywood has missed. It provides people with what many are most interested in and can’t find on any screen: Intelligent and Enlightened Entertainment. They just don’t know that you are looking for something that delivers the most thought-provoking concepts of emerging ideas in the most entertaining way.

Exactly like this film

The one people are talking about
And coming back to see again and again and again
And because of this - nothing is ever going to be the same.

I want to see it!
I'm reading "The Quark and the Jaguar" by Gell-mann. So I think I'm in the zone to appreciate this movie. I wonder when it will come out on DVD?

Hi nicolas,

"What the Bleep?" has been in theatres for quite some time. It seems I've been hearing about it for at least 2 months now. I was so happy to discover it came to my area. Do you think it'll play in yours? You can find out about showtimes here: http://www.whatthebleep.com/home/#

What I really like is that they have a suggested book list on the website: http://www.whatthebleep.com/tree/

A friend of mine thought "The Celestine Prophesy" coincided well with this movie, but I've heard very mixed reviews of that book. Have you read it, by chance? The book you're reading sounds very interesting too.

thanks for the preview.

I will try to see it when it comes out on dvd. i like this kind of thing even though much of it is beyond me. Just bought "The Elegant Universe" something about super-string theory, chaos, or something entirely different, i think.

i'm not much of a scientist but i like the rich, colorful, imaginative, way they talk about things.
