Hiatus starting tonight

Posted by Tovah on December 23, 2003, at 16:56:50

After some discussion with my family about time I've spent on other things and not them...too much...and now that I am working...I need to take a hiatus starting tonight. Don't know how long. I'll pop back at some point but it will be a while. I really need to re-commit myself and my time to my family, etc. I ask that all of you who are so inclined would keep me in your prayers.

Dear Tovah -

I applaud you for doing what is right, putting your family first. All else will still be here if you're led to return.

I've enjoyed your insight, your wisdom, your compassion, tremendously. I've grown from having "met" you. Thank you.

I will continue to pray for you.

Shalom, Dena

tips on balance

It is not hard to lose track of balance and then before we know it we are lost.

I try to include Work, Play, Worship, and Service in every day with an overlay of Exercise, Water, Sleep, and Nutrition. Or divide a square into four parts and then label them however you want.

I've attacked balance from many angles. It's like driving a car. The four wheels must be balanced in order for the car to go anywhere. Also, it helps if you know where you are going.

Another way to chart balance is to think of your check book, credits and debits. All you need is a zero balance, right? As long as the debits aren't greater than the credits, you're all right.
