Well, that ruined my evening.

I just wish it didn't matter to me. I'm going to have to put some limits on the time I spend here. I can't take it. I want everyone to like me and it isn't reasonable, likely, nor probable.
I should have seen this coming.

But what are you going to do instead? I need some ideas myself.
Maybe a Meditation Board here might be good, where people just assemble and are not allowed to say anything?
It's hard when you want everyone to love you but you are not full of sweetness and light yourself, not that I'm talking about you, CS.

Those meditation workshops require participants to sit all day, not move ot talk, except where spoken to by the teacher. So we could do the same. You log in and sit very still. At quite random intervals the teacher will ask all registrants how it is going, and they must satisfy this teacher about their meditation progress. Any sign of activity (such as activity on another Board, especially Admin), would lead to an immediate block.

>> I just wish it didn't matter to me.
Some things are going to matter more than others. It's up to you to figure out why that is. When things bother you personally, is it justified? When something analogous happens to a friend, do you think SHE is justified in having it matter to her personally?
Also, "matter" is one thing "affect" is another thing and "upset" is another.
>> I'm going to have to put some limits on the time I spend here. I can't take it.
Go for it. you can't be everything and be yourself too.
>>I want everyone to like me and it isn't reasonable, likely, nor probable.
It's a reasonable wish, but not a reasonable expectation. I'm not sure if that makes any sense. Well, I guess you can't make everyone happy. Even if you DID, they still might not like you. And some people are just not ready to like you. Who knows why?
It must be hard to be so reasonable and so caring and get some random ill-will thrown your way. I just wanted to say that I think you are a great person. (even though you're a deputy *wink*).
I guess you'll just have to practice picking and choosing where to be and who to interact with, thereby minimizing your exposure to flying pigeon poo and other assaults on your lovely self.
>> I should have seen this coming.
pigeon poo is always surprising.

We were doing a family business reorganisation which brought up 'issues', and I said that it was of some importance to me that our enemies (we aren't allowed to speak like this, hey?) would be pleased and the wise man said "What would life be without a few enemies". And then I felt a little better.

I need a wise (wo)man like that. A one-liner that can take my worries away. Or even my "issues"
still waiting. It's not coming in the form of a pillbottle either.

Maybe Admin could *become* the Meditation Board? :-)
