B12 level went from 347 to 261 in 9 months?

Posted by mogger on March 21, 2012, at 12:40:50

I just got my blood tests back at my physical and was a little shocked to see my B12 level drop from 347 to 261 in 9 months. I know the normal range is 200-1100 so I am now pushing the lower limit. The problem is that B12 supplements give me anxiety. I am at a loss as to why it seems that most brands offer 1mg which is 16,677 percent of the daily dose? I think the high dose causes me anxiety. I would be grateful for any input. I eat very well so I am at a loss as to why this is happening. Thanks,

mogger

I have B12 anemia and I give myself a shot monthly because of it. B12 supplements should be delivered under the tongue. You can get B12 dots that you put under your tongue or you can also get it in liquid form that's also held under your tongue. If you are taking it in a supplement that's swallowed/ingested you may not benefit.
