Has anyone heard or tried the light emitting ear buds made by a Finnish company called valkee. The device shines light into the ear drums which is supposedly seen by the brain. It sounds like snake oil but it apparently has been tested. It's for SAD.

I've never tried the Valkee, but I've read quite a bit about it. Strange as it may sound, the brain is more sensitive to light entering through the ears than to light entering through the eyes. The Valkee only needs to be used 8-12 minutes a day, about one-third the amount of time required for conventional light therapy.

Interesting, but sounds strange. I think I've heard of it before. Wouldn't a standard light box be a more practical solution? Light boxes have a good track record for Seasonal Affective.
