Hello everyone,
I have OCD and a Peruvian friend of mine told me to try organic Maca as he finds it a great overall well being root vegetable. I tried Whey Protein Isolate a few weeks ago and had a huge anxiety reaction to it and I found that the Glutamic Acid in it was an excitotoxin for me. Now I am terrified of Glutamic Acid but I hear there are different kinds in the way it is processed. Does anyone know the difference between Glutamic Acid in say Whey Protein compared to Glutamic Acid in a root vegetable like Maca? Many thanks,
Joseph

Is glutamic acid a problem like glutamine is?

I think it is a precursor to glutamate. Not sure though.

> JosephBe very, very careful with Glutamate/Glutamic Acid. Massive amounts of this stuff is released in the brain when a stroke occurs.
