starting an herbal

Posted by floatingbridge on July 3, 2011, at 18:40:26

Hi,

What is a good length of time to try an herb?

I am going to try boswellia (sp!). I understand about synergy having some exposure to TCM, but I am just adding one herb at a time and need to start somewhere....

It's brass tacks around here. I am just going to quietly read the threads on this board.

Thanks.

Life Extension puts it in their arthritis and prostate products.

To cut inflammation, I guess.

It is a possibility that the almost decent sleep I had the night before last MAY POSSIBLY be from the saffron I took that day.

So I have repeated it, along with .125 Xanax so people do not feel obliged to ask whether it is Mr Grumpy or Mr Cynical today.

Give me an ounce of civet, good apothecary, sweeten my imagination.

They never travel together?

Saffron is a new on to me. Good luck.

So you are going to start herbs? Make sure they are compatible with any meds that is all I know of them. Love Phillipa

Sigi, have you tried 5 Loxin? It is likely the most potent boswellia 5 lox inhibitor on the market.

Hi Phillipa,

Just one. The Boswellia. Nothing any doc has thrown at me to date helps and probably has harmed (in my case).

I've been here at PB about 3 year this past March. The idea of anti inflammatory is finally sinking in :-)

But, then, three years ago I was *only* massively anxiuosly depressed. The pain kicked in about, I don't know without my book, less than a year ago in its wicked form?

I'm a slow learner :P

F*ck*ng high maintenance, but what to do :)

FB, are you saying you ordered the 5 Loxin? Any a decent Boswellia extract should be o.k.

This will cost a pretty penny, but you might want to eventually consider Terry Natrually's Curamin. Of course wait to see what boswellia alone does for you.

Hope you feel better soon.

Morgan

Yes, that is Lear speaking on the heath, just before he says 'A dog's obeyed in office' and other apposite things.
