I had to look for and finally found an aggressive endocrinologist. He had accepted to raise my Synthroid to the higher than norm level recommended for my hypothyroidism. From 75 mcg, we went up to 112 mcg. I had no tremors, no agitation, none of the typical symptoms of hyperthyroidism. I was losing a lot of hair though and I attributed it to my Lithium. My lithium corresponded to the time I started raising my Synthroid. Then I started reading that hair loss can also be a sign of hyperthyroidism. I asked my endo whereI was on the TSH range and I was as low as 0.2. Is that something to be alarmed about? He did not think so. It helped with my weight, and that in turn with my energy, but not with my stubborn depression. Is the hair loss all Lithium? Am I fine at 0.2?

Yes, you are fine at 0.2. It's on the hyper side but that's where you feel well. Mine is always at -0.1 and my endo has no trouble keeping me there because that is where I feel good.
I thought that hair loss was from HYPOthyroidism. Because your skin and hair become very dry.
You can take zinc and selenium to help with the hair loss. I wish I could tell you the dosage of each, but I can't remember. A complex Vitamin B would also help.
