Is there such thing as vitamins/supps that blockade of voltage-sensitive sodium/calcium channels?
I'm too sensitive to drugs and can no longer take them, but found some benefit in lamictal, trileptal, neurontin, and depakote in the past, helping with concentration and being in the moment.
Perhaps something to it.
I was wondering if there is something on the vitamin/supp side that might mimic actions of these?Brian

Also, topamax had at one time helped, which looks like working on voltage-gated sodium ion channels
Any clues?

Brian,
Here's what Wikipedia has to say about vinpocetine, a supplement that acts as a vasodilator:
"Vinpocetine has been shown to selectively inhibit voltage-sensitive Na+ channels, resulting in a dose-dependent decrease in evoked extracellular Ca+ ions in striatal nerve endings."
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinpocetine
Sounds like it might be up your alley.
