A couple of days ago I accidentally did not take my daily Claritin (anti-histamine). I did not realize it until the end of the day. All day I was happier/had more energy than I've had in a long time. I even inititated sex which I have not done in years.
I googled claritin and side effects and came up with this site: http://www.askapatient.com/viewrating.asp?drug=19658&name=CLARITIN
It seems other people have had psychiatric side effects on Claritin as well. Anybody one here experience that? I know the simple way to know is for me just to quit my Claritin. That is easier said than done however, because then I explode in a million little rashes, get itchy, and the skin on my hands cracks.
Ideas, oh wise people?
Thanks!

Well, I can't take Benadryl during the day because it puts me to sleep.
Over the weekend I tried not taking my Claritin and I didn't feel much different. A little, but not much. I was trying to remember if I did anything else differently that day when I felt so great. My husband reminded me that I went nuts on a chocolate bar. I had about half of an 85% bar. I never eat chocolate, as I used to have a delayed food allergy to cacao. I will defintely be having another half of a bar in a couple of weeks or so and see if that's what did it.
Thanks!
