Re: Topical Magnesium

Magnesium Taurate increases my anxiety and disturbs sleep. Other forms of magnesium don't do this, but also cause stomach pain, so I'm considering topical magnesium to augment oral dosing as I have Fibromyalgia and everyone says I need higher doses.

Would topical magnesium chloride cream be better than mag sulfate cream? And would there be a chance that my anxiety might get worse increasing the dose of magnesium, since I have elevated DHEA and DHEA-S? I've read that magnesium raises DHEA.

Thanks!

Trial and error is the only way to find out. Try one. Try another. See what they feel like.

I don't know about the creams. The only topical Mg I've done is Epsom Salt baths. The magnesium in magnesium sulfate easily enters the body in a bath. I did one cup in a warm bath for about 10 minutes and slept better and felt calmer the next day. I tried larger doses and longer times in the bath and got revved up instead. Magnesium is weird. Gotta get the right amount, which is only found through personal trial and error. Whatever the bottle directions say are useless.
