Hello Everyone-
Please keep calm. I know some people truly react very badly to MSG, and I know it's a favorite boogieman for many others, but MSG also definitely helps me lessen some weird, very disturbing intolerable mental and physical agitation that I have experienced for a long time every day after eating lunch. Adding a bit of MSG to my lunchtime food has a calming effect on me and greatly diminishes my very disturbing daily post-lunch crisis.
I take quite a few supplements daily, but through elimination trials I have not been able to pinpoint any of them as the culprit in my extreme post-lunch agitation. Another day I'll post my supplement routine if it's of interest. Today, I'm just wondering if anyone might have firm information on how MSG might make a person calmer. If it's relevant, I've tried supplementing with L-Glutamine before but that gave me a mildly upleasant sensation and didn't have the same effect as MSG for me.
Thank you for any informed insight.
-Paul
P.S. My underlying condition (for which I take numerous supplements) is some sort of neurological / hormonal / HPA axis malfunction due to veganism in the past (now ended for about four years). Incidently I *do not* wish to discuss or debate veganism. Period.
This is the end of the thread.
