What do you think of this interesting article I found about caffeine addiction.

Overcome coffee addiction

According to Dr. Ralph Heinicke, xeronine is an alkaloid synthesized in the body and plays a key role at cellular level. When we take in foreign alkaloids like nicotine, cocaine, heroin and caffeine, which mimick xeronine's natural function, the body's proteins adapt to them and alter the need of xeronine to an unnatural need for foreign alkaloids. To overcome this addiction, flood your body with xeronine just like you originally flooded the body with foreign alkaloid.
At present noni is known to be the best source of proxeronine (a precursor to xeronine).
To treat this addiction, place a few drops of noni juice under the tongue every hour. This will release proxeronine straight into the bloodstream from the soft tissue under the tongue.

Note : The body does not get addicted to xeronine and thus noni is not addictive.

In 76 Ways to Use Noni Fruit Juice (Direct Source, 2001) Ms. Isabelle Navarre-Brown shares how to ease withdrawal symptoms from coffee (or drugs, nicotine and alcohol) by taking noni juice in different doses. Noni will reduce the physical and psychological need for coffee.

More about noni.

I'm a bit dubious about this, when I search for Xeronine I can only find it mentioned in relation to Noni juice. I searched pubmed for any studies on xeronine there are none.

Surely there would have be studies done on this substance if it plays such an important role in drug addiction like Dr. Ralph Heinicke suggests?

Does anyone know of any independent studies on Xeronine, and can you find the substance mentioned in any articles that don't mention Noni juice?

Would be interesting to find out.

Noni is Morinda Citrifolia. The price has come down since a while ago. It has an interesting taste, and is the sort of thing I'd try because it is alleged to work for everything. I've got this book thingo, I wouldn't call it a book, but maybe it is.
"Noni. Nature's amazing healer. Solomon, Neil"

It has a lot of studies listed in the back.

I had an incredibly stressful series of events to cope with some years ago and was pretty nonfunctional. I had these freeze dried Noni powder capsules, and when needed would eat heaps of them (chewed them up, yum), hoping they would do something. Trying hard not to take more opiates or benzos than I already was. It was a surprise when the Noni produced a reliable calming effect. Some seratonin thing?
