Here's some info about valerian and link to valium plus doses http://www.drugstore.com/pharmacy/ayp/questions.asp?label=1191. i have no idea what brand or dosage i was taking...this was four or five years ago, and i used to take it all the time. (i don't do much otc, recreational or w/o my pdoc now.)

Some people find oral GABA to be worthless, but some find it helpful. There isn't anything alternative that is as potent as valium, I'm afraid, but there are supplements that may help. See:

You may also want to give Passion Flower a try.It has a benzo like effect.
