Hi -
I've been taking picamilon 50mg 3x daily for a couple of months at least now. Recently I found the picamilon was starting to poop out, and some anxiety beginning to creep back in.
I was gutted, but nevertheless came straight off it yesterday. Today I have had AWFUL anxiety, and have felt really low. Nothing is hitting the mark for me - kava, valerian etc. I don't know what to do.
Should I start back on the picamilon?? Is it really safe??
At least I have had a one day break.
Please, has anyone else got anymore info on picamilon. I mean I know it's kind of natural which is why I liked taking it in the first place. But maybe it really does act like a drug afterall, and has withdrawal effects.
Thanks

Oh am I the only one relevant to this topic?
Oh well. Just wanted to say I have switched to taking niacinamide/niacin blend and b-complex and feeling MUCH better.
I figure there was some niacin in the picamilon, but not enough for me, and I grew maybe tolerant to the gaba effects of it.
am happier now. Am also experimenting with inositol for insomnia. I'm very glad I bought Michael Lesser's book as it is very informative about nutritional supplements for anxiety etc.
At last...

Hiya -
Um, it's called 'The Brain Chemistry Plan' - I think it's been around for awhile? First published 2002.
Excellent source of info on dosages of vitamins etc. - Takes the fear out of 'overdosing', for instance on B3.
However, only drawback is I have 7 hits on the Warrior profile, 7 hits on the star profile and 8 on the dreamer. This can get confusing as I am not a clear type, so can't adhere to any one of the type recommendations.
I've always done best managing things with vitamins - anything else seems to have a detrimental effect on me i.e. meds.

I'd just like to plug the double double quotes feature at this site:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#amazon
The first time anyone refers to a book without using this option, I post this to try to make sure he or she at least knows about it. It's just an option, though, and doesn't *have* to be used. If people *choose* not to use it, I'd be interested why not, but I'd like that redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration:

Thanks!
