what is better and safer as a stimulant, tyrosine or phenylalanine?.
I read dl phenylalanine converts to PEA but Tyrosine is closer to dopamine.
Besides some say tyrosine is safer and that phenylalanine can promote cancer growth (I think this is only for those that already have skin problems).
Also, does tyrosine downregulates the body´s own production as it is a non essential aminoacid?.
Thanks

Tyrosine is more pure stimulant....but I would not use adjectives like better or safer....they're different.

Tyrosine is one step closer to dopamine than is phenylalanine, and by using both enantiomers (the d- and l-isomers) of phenylalanine, you will get a fairly substantial PEA response....

> ThanksTyrosine is essential (it can't be synthesized from scratch), but is nonessential in that it can be made from phenylalanine. I don't know where the downregulation concept comes from, but I think it's erroneous.
